Your training is solid. Your mental game is the variable nobody's coaching you on.

The handlers who make it look easy have figured something out about their inner game.
It's not a personality trait. It's a skill β€” and it's coachable.

The part no one talks about.

You've done the work. The training, the prep, whatever access you have to good instruction. And still β€” something shifts the moment it counts. Your dog reads it before you've even processed it yourself.

That's not a training problem. That's a mental game problem. And finding someone to coach you on it who actually lives in this world β€” who's in the same rings, navigating the same pressure β€” that's a different thing entirely. That's what this is.

The handlers you watch and think "how do they do that" β€” most of them have done this work. They just don't advertise it.

This is for you if ...

  • You train well at home but something shifts the moment the leash goes on at a trial.
  • You've hit a ceiling and you can feel it β€” your skills are there but you're not performing to them consistently.
  • You've had a slump you can't shake or a big goal that keeps getting away from you.
  • You're the kind of handler who wants to be elite and you're willing to do every kind of work to get there.
  • You've never done anything like this before and you're not sure what to expect β€” that's fine. Most people haven't.
I'm convinced!

What actually happens.

We talk. About you β€” your dogs, your patterns, the stories running in your head between the start line and the finish. I ask questions. You'll probably say "I've never thought about it that way" at least once.

We find the thread that's been tangling things up and figure out what to do about it. Then you go try it. Then we talk again.

Sessions are 60–90 minutes by phone. No video, no tech. Just a real conversation. Everything is confidential.

If you've ever had a private lesson, you know what it feels like to show up differently because someone's holding you to it. Same model.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

She was already a strong handler when she came to coaching β€” skilled, competitive, serious about her sport. What she recognized was that her mental game wasn't keeping pace with her ambitions. She's now on a world team.

She came in with a clear goal: nationals. The training was solid. What kept getting in the way was everything happening in her head before, during, and after her runs. She got there β€” and she didn't go alone.
